Prof. Dr. Saeed Akhter is a urologist, transplant surgeon, healthcare leader and institution builder whose career spans the United States and Pakistan. His work has centered on kidney transplantation, medical education, the development of major healthcare institutions, and expanding access to specialized care. After an academic and clinical career in the United States, he returned to Pakistan, where he has helped lead major healthcare and public-health initiatives, including work in transplantation and hepatitis elimination.
